The Children's Chorus of Washington is excited to be back in person next season, with a complete program of new concerts and tours. Despite the past year's challenges, our students sang on and cannot wait to share their music with the world again! With masks, social distancing, and vaccinations or negative COVID tests required for all students, a safe and enjoyable experience will be CCW's first priority.
In addition to our self-produced concerts in December and May, included in our plans are the following:
- World Premiere of the complete Dream a New World Trilogy by Dominick DiOrio - We'll finish what we started at June's virtual gala.
- Joint concert with Choralis, including Bob Chilcott's Samba Mass - we continue our association with Bob Chilcott, our composer in virtual residence,
during CCW's silver anniversary season
- Dilworth Choir Festival in Prague, Vienna, and Salzburg with Conductor Rollo Dilworth
- After an entirely virtual 2021 Honor Chorus program,
we're bringing songwriting to students in the classroom next season, and expanding the program to include middle school students. This city-wide program offers a unique choral experience to students of every ward in DC
- The Harriet Tubman Tour, a partnership project with Choir School of Delaware, will follow stops along Harriet Tubman's route on the Underground Railroad.
- And much, much more!
