Evelyn Goldin
Evelyn Goldin is a high school senior who has been singing with CCW for over nine years. Highlights of her CCW experience include performing as a treble soloist in Bernstein's MASS at the Kennedy Center and touring Spain, Austria, and the Czech Republic. In December 2022, CCW premiered her composition, "Winter's Warmth," and subsequently professionally recorded the piece with funding from a YoungArts Microgrant. CCW also sang Evelyn’s work, “Nada te turbe,” at a workshop with Basque composer Eva Ugalde in Madrid, and again at CCW’s 2024 Winter Spotlight in DC.
Evelyn has participated in the Penn State Young Composers Institute and the singer-songwriter summer program at Interlochen Center for the Arts, where she was named a Fine Arts award winner by the faculty. She has received recognition for her original music, including in competitions hosted by the National Association for Music Education, Lipscomb University, and the Ruth Crawford Seeger Prize in Composition.
Through education, collaboration, and outreach, Evelyn enjoys sharing her musical passion with her community. She directs the middle school choir at her religious school and is Vocal Captain of Teen Angel Project, a community service musical theater troupe. Evelyn has studied voice, guitar, piano, and composition privately.
